[Brief Description] Currently, Patricia Ferreira-Lopes is a scientific researcher at the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage (IAPH, Spain). She is also a lecture at the Master of Digital Humanities of UNIR. She holds a PhD in Architecture from Universidad de Sevilla (FPI Fellowship, International doctorate mention, PhD Summa cum laude and Extraordinary PhD Award) where she is an honorary research member in the Graphic Expression Department. She has two Master’s degrees <Historical and Architectural Heritage> (University of Seville) and <Pathology of buildings> (Polytechnic University of Madrid).
Before starting my PhD, I worked on the application of GIS in industrial heritage as a researcher at the University of Seville. During my PhD, I gained expertise in Late Gothic heritage, database management, Historical GIS, graph theory and Social Network Analysis from an extensive variety of technically-related research projects in different Centres and in her thesis development. My spectrum of research covers a wide but well-connected range of competencies, including both the theoretical and experimental side, which is also reflected in the networks she has been active in. I have been collaborating with international and national R&D Centres: in Canada (CulturePlexLab at the Western University of Ontario, London), in the Netherlands (CLUE + Research Institute for Culture, History and Heritage at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), in Spain (UNESCO Chair in Cultural Landscape and Heritage at the University of the Basque Country, Vitoria-Gasteiz), in Portugal (Civil Engineering Research Innovation and Sustainability at the Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon; IHC at NOVA Lisboa) and Ireland (DARIAH-EU, Dublin). I also worked for four years as a teacher at the Higher Technical Superior Architectural School of the University of Seville, teaching Architecture design and Urban planning, digital tools (GIS) in project development and photography. Between 2014 and 2016 I worked as a researcher in the Excellence Project “A digital information model for knowledge and management of cultural heritage” (HAR 2012-34571). Currently, I collaborate on the R&D Project «ACME Heritage 3.0: Argumentation and Conceptual Modelling for Enhanced Cultural Heritage Participation and Management Policies» funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain. In the last five years, my research has been known more in the field of Digital Humanities, Cultural heritage, Database design and Historical GIS. My main research line focuses on methodological and theoretical aspects of digital information modelling (relational database, conceptual and semantic models, historical GIS, and Graph) in cultural heritage for its documentation, analysis and management. Actualmente, Dr. Patricia Ferreira-Lopes es investigadora científica en el Instituto Andaluz de Patrimonio Histórico (IAPH, España), profesor contratado doctor en la Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR) y evaluadora experta en la Comisión europea desde 2019. Es doctora internacional por la Universidad de Sevilla en el programa de doctorado de Arquitectura (Cum Laude y Premio extraordinario de doctorado US), Máster en Patología de la Edificación y especialista en Gestión Económica y Actividad Pericial en la Rehabilitación por la UPM – Madrid (2010) y Máster en Arquitectura y Patrimonio Histórico por la ETSA Sevilla (2012). Ha sido Personal Docente e Investigador en formación la ETSA de Sevilla entre 2014 y 2018. Es miembro del grupo de investigación HUM-799 – Estrategias de Conocimiento Patrimonial e investigadora honoraria del Departamento de Expresión Gráfica Arquitectónica de la ETSA de la Universidad de Sevilla. Las líneas de investigación generales en las que actualmente trabaja son: documentación, análisis y gestión del patrimonio a partir de tecnologías digitales de información (SIG, Grafos, base de datos, entre otras).
